How to plan music and timings for a christening party

For a christening party, start with meal timings, family moments and time for dancing. Music should support each stage, while MC announcements help guests follow the programme. A conversation before the event lets us prepare a celebration that suits your family.

Start with the family schedule

Send the expected guest arrival time and meal schedule. Tell me when you want the cake, group photographs or other announced moments. We agree a contact person so that changes during the evening can be communicated easily between the family, venue and DJ.

Choose music for different generations

Christening celebrations often bring together relatives and friends with different tastes. Tell me your favourite styles and the music your grandparents, parents and friends would enjoy. Romanian and international music can be combined throughout the evening. During the meal, we can keep the music in the background, then gradually build towards dancing.

Explain the traditions you want included

If you have ursitoare performers or other traditional moments, share their schedule and the organiser’s details. The first-haircut tradition, if part of your celebration, should be discussed separately. We do not assume every family follows the same programme. For special moments, send your preferred songs and versions.

Discuss sound, lighting and the room

My package includes DJ and MC services, professional sound and programmed lighting. Fine atmospheric mist brings the lighting to life, but is used only where the venue permits. Share the approximate room size, dance floor area, access times and venue restrictions. Mention any preferences about volume or effects too.

Allow room for changes

A family event schedule can change. We agree which moments are essential and which can move. If a meal runs late or the family needs a break, the music and announcements can follow the revised pace. A clear plan helps without turning the celebration into a rigid timetable.

Reserve the date and confirm the details
